P. Kerim Friedman is assistant professor in the Department of Indigenous Cultures at National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan, where he teaches linguistic and visual anthropology. His research explores the relationship between language ideology and political economy in Taiwan. He is a founding member of the anthropology blog Savage Minds and a documentary filmmaker. His latest film is Acting Like a Thief.
